When ever we talk about body building diet we normally listen to a myth that only non-vegetarians can build good muscle. But it is not right. There are many famous bodybuilders who are actually vegetarians. In this part we will cover 10 vegetarian foods for Bodybuilding which will break this myth.
We will start with Indian herbs which are very beneficial for Bodybuilding and lean mass gain.
You will surprise to know that these herbs are very popular in Bodybuilding world already. In which 1st one is Aswagandha.
Aswagandha :
It is also known as Indian Ginseng, a powerful herb. Aswagandha is very helpful in boosting testosterone naturally which in turn increase the strength. Makes muscle building a very easy task. It strengths the heart muscle, controls the cholesterol and improves cardiovascular health. It is a very good antidepressant herb.
The second super food is asparagus.
Asparagus :
It is also known as shatavri. It is a very good source of fibre, floate, vitamin A, C, E and K, as well as chlorium. It's packed with antioxidants and have ability to neutralize cell damaging free radicals. Asparagus has the ability to soak excessive water and salt from the body and release the same through increase urination. It helps bodybuilders in giving ripped look.
The third superfood is bean and brown rice.
Bean and brown rice:
It is the great source of protein and fibers. Due to incomplete amino acid chain it is treated as incomplete source of protein but it becomes complete when being eaten with brown rice. It is an easiest, cheapest and effective way to load protein and healthy carbs after a heavy workout.
Low fat milk and milk products:
Low fat milk and milk products contain perfect combination of whey protein and casein protein. Whey protein's quality and digestibility is good as egg protein. Where as casein protein is slow digestive and keep the body in a positive nitrogen balance. And slowly feeds your muscle over a period of several hours.
Penut butter :
Penut butter is a good source of protein need to built and repair muscles. Penut butter have mono and polyunsaturated fat which have proven benefit for muscle health.
Nuts:
Nuts are the perfect blend of quality protein, healthy fats and fibers. A handful almonds has more protein than a egg and contains energy boosting manganese and copper. Wall nuts are loaded with omega-3 which increases synthesis and decreases degradation which is necessary for muscle growth.
Banana:
Banana have fair amount of potasiump which helps in preventing cramps, soreness, bloating and puffiness .It replenishes glycogen stores and help protein reach your muscles. Banana are full of carbohydrates and play critical role as post workout. Banana should be a bit greeny and should not fully ripped.
Oats :
Oats are the most favourite food among all bodybuilders. It is a very good source of carbohydrates and dietary fibers. It helps in altering metabolism in a positive way and results to an enhance during training.
Sweet potato :
It is also known as the energy power house. It is a great source of carbs but low in calories. Loaded with fibers and fibers essential to control appetite, burnfat and maintain healthy digestion.
